Our parents say...

Daniel Loves It!

Child(ren):
Daniel, age 1.5 years

Daniel joined CPSC in October 2008, at 9 months. Since then, he has been thriving: looking forward to daycare every morning (eager to leave the house as soon as he wakes up!), and learning a lot. He loves his teachers: they really spend time with the children, and offer activities/learning opportunities that fit each kid's development stage. At the end of each day, the teachers can tell me a lot about Daniel's day: his new achievements, favorite activities, etc... I know he is only one of 12 children they have in the classroom, but still, I get a very personalized report.

Two Children Over a Decade

Child(ren):
Parents of 2 CPSC alumni

Over the past decade, we have had two of our kids go through the excellent care and nurturing environment of CPSC. Kudos to you and the staff for creating an atmosphere which gives parents peace of mind and a comfort level that is hard to find. Whether it was love and care, teaching good manners, healthy eating habits or great learning atmosphere, CPSC excelled in all. We have never had the slightest hesitation in giving CPSC glowing recommendations to all our friends and will continue to do so.

Saying Good-Bye is Not Easy

Child(ren):
Anke, Claus, Phillip (big brother), Julian (alumni), and David (soon to graduate)

Our family is getting ready to leave CPSC as our youngest son graduates this summer. It is really weird to think about leaving CPSC and with that not only leaving behind the preschool stage of our youngest but also leaving behind us being parents of preschoolers. Now we will have “big” kids only.

Moving on to Kindergarten

Child(ren):
Kaela, age 5

I can’t begin to express what CPSC has meant to our family. Kaela’s first day at CPSC was March 31, 2003, when she was just 15 weeks old, so she has been here exactly 5 years, 4 and a half months.

Kaela absolutely loved coming to school at CPSC. Every day she has been challenged and stimulated to grow and learn in a supportive and caring environment that has always valued her as an individual.

Excellent program from infancy to pre-K

Child(ren):
Three children, ages 5, 2 1/2 and 2 months

Our eldest son started at CPSC when 3 months old and is now a senior preschooler. Our second son is in the junior preschool, and our new daughter will join the same infant room her brothers started in, with the same head teacher. Obviously we are very happy with the center.

Looking forward to a fun filled day

Child(ren):
one alumn, one senior preschooler

The best part about the school is the warmth and sense of community that is fostered and encouraged by the fabulous staff and parents. [...] I never have a problem getting my girls out of the house in the morning because they always look forward to a fun filled day playing and learning. In addition, we have made life-long friendships with the other families at the center that will continue far beyond my children's preschool years.

Mutual trust and respect

Child(ren):
Sammy (3) and Sophie (1)

We can't imagine a better place for our children to learn and grow. Our kids have developed wonderful relationships with teachers, students, parents, and other staff members. Most importantly, they are very comfortable with themselves.

Proud to be part of the CPSC family

Child(ren):
Poiema, age 3

CPSC has provided a warm, loving environment for our daughter. We couldn't be happier! [...] I am thankful for the patient guidance and support provided by CPSC's experienced Director and Staff, who greatly facilitated us through potty-training, early literacy and communication, and self-help skills.

We [...] look forward to enrolling our second child next summer!

CPSC is Family

Child(ren):
One child, age 3

We looked at every day care center in the Peninsula. We were sold on CPSC the minute we met Rachel and her talented staff. Leaving our son at day care doesn't feel foreign - it feels like he's visiting family for a day, and we feel comfortable that he is in a safe and supportive environment. In fact, CPSC is so much a part of our lives that both of us volunteer as room parents and on the Board of Directors.

Better than a nanny

Child(ren):
a 3 yr old boy and 10 month old girl

My 3 year old son has been happy here. [...] CPSC seems to have consistently warm and caring, well-qualified and engaged teachers. Rachel and the head teachers especially made an extra effort to make sure the transition was going well for both my children. [...]

My infant daughter, amazingly to me, was quite comfortable from day one. It was hard for me to let go, but she seemed to take it in stride. [...] Having had two nannies before for our son, I think this has been at least as good and better in some ways than a nanny.

A testimonial

A daycare is a place you park your kid: it's good for you. A school is where your kid goes to learn: it's good for the kid. CPSC is a school, not a daycare, and they've demonstrated their commitment to giving my child an enriching experience.

Worth the long commute!

Child(ren):
daughter aged 3, son aged 6 (alumn)

We used to live five minutes from CPSC, but we moved to Redwood City and have been making the drive to Palo Alto for over a year now because we feel CPSC's program and people are so valuable for our daughter. With Bay Area commutes being what they are, this is high praise indeed!

Our son spent three years at CPSC, and he has been thriving first in kindergarten and now in first grade. We trace much of his readiness and enthusiasm for learning to his wonderful years at CPSC.
